Dear Michael, I am not going to do anything such as beg you to stay in Formula 1 as it is entirely your decision. I will just say that I have watched you drive for the past 10 years. From the first time i saw you hustling the 1996 Ferrari around the rain soaked Barcelona track, to a win the car didn't deserve I realised this driver is a level above the others.
I have followed you through the agony of trying to bring the title back to Maranello over those 4 years, and those are very special memories, especially the final laps of Suzuka 2000. If you decide to carry on for a few more years that would be fantastic of course. To wrestle the title back from Fernando Alonso and to go for yet another double title in 2007, that would be the icing on the cake of your Formula one legacy.
To close i hope your decsion is not based on pressure from Maranello, media or even what fans such as me, it is yours and more to the point your family's decision. All the best Reinmeister
