Dear Michael, as a die-hard fan, obviously I would love if you stayed. There will be a big void in Formula One without you. F1 matters a great deal to me and you are the main reason for that. If you retire, F1 will suddenly seem to be just a sport and it will suddenly not matter so much. Given that, if you do decide to retire, I understand your decision perfectly. Since 1991 in Belgium you have thrilled us with your presence on the track and its understandable that you may have had enough and now you may want to focus elsewhere and even lead a settled life with your family in Switzerland. If you do retire, then I will always keep close to my heart, admire and respect the legacy, and legend that you will leave behind in Formula One....Whatever you decide to do, I am there with you. als ich in den News las, dass scheinbar die Zeichen bei Dir auf Abschied stehen, war ich schockiert.
Vielleicht liefen in letzter Zeit verschiedene Team-Internas für Dich nicht so ab, wie Du sie Dir gewünscht hättest. Aber Michael, Du hast oft genug in Deiner sportlichen Karriere schon bewiesen, dass Du ein ganz ganz Großer bist, dass Du gerad aus solchen Situationen noch mehr Ehrgeiz schöpfst und diese "Kleinigkeiten" mit Leichtigkeit meisterst.
Also Schumi....lass uns Fans bitte wenigstens(!) noch ein Jahr Rennen für Rennen mit Dir mitfiebern und zusammen Deine Erfolge feiern...!!!

Driving isnt about being fair or nice... its about being the best! If you leave you wil be a legend.. but please dont as i think F1 will be a lesser sport without you. The motivation for staying at the top of a sport demands respect and for that many, in fact most respect. The ones that dont are simply jealous!

Good luck with whatever you choose, regardless of what anyone says you have made modern F1 what it is now. I sincerely hope that you stay on.

Michael, you must do what you feel is best, only you can decide when the time is right but I really hope you stay for at least another season. I came to F1 to support Damon but soon became one of your many faithful followers and although I would not stop watching F1 if you were not there it would not hold the same emotion.
